BioThe day I wrote this I turned 23. I never really imagined myself turning 23. I occupy my life with solving calculus problems, reading and occasionally mucking around with this thing called the internet. Oh, and I watch TV shows; often after long hiatuses.
I'm an economist (or I will be after I get the PhD) and also one of those pretentious English Lit kids (lol, not really). I adore English-its forms, its style and its elegance. My favourite pastime is reading; I started when I was 5 and I never really stopped. I am a huge fantasy buff. I read and appreciate other books as well, but my first love is fantasy. At the same time, I am bewildered by the amount of hokey nonsense that gets published in the genre every year; much more so than in any other genre. I like watching movies and I'm turning into quite the sci-fi freak there. I think abstract art is stunning and I am floored by the work of Vincent Van Gogh, Wladimir Kandinsky and William Turner.
Current fandoms include: Doctor Who, Discworld (a la the incomparable Terry Pratchett), Heroes(Milo rocks my world), Robin Hood, Diana Wynne Jones, Torchwood (when I can get over the cheese factor and the gap in Gwens teeth) and Supernatural.
Friends Policy: Since this has come up I thought I'd better put something in here about this. I'm wide open to people friending me. Just drop in and leave a comment and if you want, I'll have a look around your journal and friend you back. I'm quite a nice person really. :)
